At Made 2 Move Dance Company, your health and safety is our up most priority. We will continue to monitor and implement the local, provincial, and federal recommendations as they’re announced and follow the most recent health guidelines. We ask that you do send your child to class if they are sick. Please send an email to info@made2movedance.ca and we will provide you with a zoom link that your child will join from home to participate in their classes if they are well enough.

COVID-19 Protocol When Entering the Studio

​

1. Parents/Guardians please complete the COVID-19 screening form before your child enters the building.

2. Every dancer's temperature will be taken upon entering the facility and will be recorded. Any dancers with a temperature higher than 100 degrees F or 38 degrees C will be sent home.

3. Dancers will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entering. Made 2 Move Dance Company will have sanitizer available throughout the facility. Dancers are welcome to bring their own if they so choose.

Prevention Steps in the Dance Studio:

​

• The dance room and equipment will be cleaned and disinfected frequently.

• We recommend dancers come to the studio dressed in their dance wear when arriving at the studio. Change rooms will be accessible one at a time if needed.

• Dancers will be asked to bring all of their belongings with them into class and will keep their belongings in a basket provided in the dance room.

• Parents will be asked to drop off their dancers and wait in the car if possible. If parents need to wait in the lobby for their child, only 3 parents will be allowed in the lobby area at a time.

• All students will be required to sanitize hands upon entering the building.

• Please bring a bottle of water, as the kitchenette will not be available.

• We have a sanitizer in each studio, the reception, the bathroom, and encourage you to utilize it frequently.

• We encourage frequent hand washing (for at least 20 seconds before rinsing).

• We have adjusted certain aspects of our classes to ensure social distancing for all dancers and teachers.

• Students have the option to wear masks while dancing in the studio.

• Each dancer will be asked to wear a mask into the building.  In accordance with the Region’s Medical Officer of Health mandates everyone entering Made 2 Move Dance Company premises must wear a “Face Covering” which includes a non-medical mask or face covering such as a bandanna, scarf or cloth (including a hijab and niqab) that covers the mouth and nose. 

• Exempted from wearing a Face Covering are:  children under the age of five, anyone who cannot wear a Face Covering because of a medical condition, and anyone who cannot place or remove a Face Covering without assistance.

• Face coverings may be temporarily removed: while receiving services that would require temporary removal; consuming food or drink; for any emergency or medical purpose; and while actively engaging in an athletic or fitness activity while maintaining physical distance from other dancers in the class (e.g. during dance / acro classes).

 How You Can Help:

​

• Don’t bring toys, food, or any unnecessary items from home.

• Before arriving at Made 2 Move Dance Company, we ask parent/guardians to do a temperature check of their child. If temperature is raised, the child must remain home as a precaution.

• Don’t send your child to the studio sick or if a family member is sick.

• Dancers missing a class due to illness can request an online class invite.

• Don’t break any formal quarantine/government restrictions.

• Encourage your child to cough and sneeze into their arm not in their hand.

• Alert us if your child does have COVID-19 and have been to the studio within the last 14 days so we can contact their peers.

• Please rest and seek medical assistance if symptoms (e.g. fever, chills, coughing, sneezing, shortness of breath) occur and/or the self-check suggests proper diagnosis.
