Ballet Examinations
Ballet examinations provide a foundational base of technique and strong discipline throughout a dancers training. Please note: Examinations will not be run during the first year, but dancers will still learn the material.
About Ballet Exams at Made 2 Move
- We are focusing on the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus for all ballet examinations. - All examination repertoire is learned during the Ballet Exam class.
- Dancers will be placed in a grade level based on their age and experience level.
- All dancers on the performance team are required to complete ballet examinations.
- Participation in examinations are optional for recreational dancers.
- If a dancer is interested in teaching dance in future years, participation in examinations is crucial and recommended for this path.

Jazz Examinations
Jazz examinations provide a foundational base of technique and strong discipline throughout a dancers training.
About Jazz Exams at Made 2 Move
- We are focusing on the British Association of Teachers of Dancing syllabus for all examinations.
- Jazz examinations are optional and will be only be run if requested by the dancer and their parent/guardian.
- Examination material will not be run during regular class time and will be an additional scheduled class for all those interested.
- Dancers will be able to choose between two streams of examinations: the medal stream and the grade stream. - If a dancer is interested in becoming a dance teacher in the future, it is recommended to enrol in the grade level stream.
- If a dancer has completed all of their medal examinations and and would like to continue taking examination, they will be directed to grade level stream.
Tap Examinations
Tap examinations provide a foundational base of technique and strong discipline throughout a dancers training.
About Tap Exams at Made 2 Move
- We are focusing on the British Association of Teachers of Dancing syllabus for all tap examinations.
- Tap examinations are optional and will be only be run if requested by the dancer and their parent/guardian.
- Examination material will not be run during regular class time and will be an additional scheduled class for all those interested.
